The Ukrainian Historical Society invites all to a Workshop by Eric Basir, entitled:
How to Preserve and Scan your Family Photographs

Cost: The event is free and open to the public.
This workshop will teach you how to preserve, restore, and scan your cherished photographs. This workshop is part on an ongoing series entitled: Preserving Your Family History.

About the Speaker
Eric Basir owns a photo retouching studio in Evanston, IL. He serves the genealogical community as a teacher and author of "Ask the Retoucher," a column for genealogical publications. He recently published his first book "Digital Photo Restoration Book I." In service to the genealogical community, Eric's studio sponsored the launch of Lostandfoundphotos.net, a free service to provide genealogists a forum to identify lost or unknown photographs.
Eric C. M. Basir launched Photo Grafix in 1999, a photographic restoration and retouching studio based in Evanston, IL. Using a combination of photographic, illustration and computer skills acquired through formal education and professional experience, he has served hundreds of genealogists throughout the United States with high-quality digital restoration of their photographic collections since 2001.
He also has an extensive portfolio of work with advertising agencies, book and magazine publishers and professional photographers.
