Author Biography: Alexander Lushnycky, Ph.D., well-known educator and researcher, is acknowledged for his resourcefulness in locating archival materials. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, he was raised in the United States. His publications, some bilingual, include Ukrainians in Pennsylvania and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Schools of Ukrainian Studies and Tenth Anniversary of Ukrainian Heritage School. He currently serves as regional director (Philadelphia) for the Encyclopedia of Ukrainian Diaspora in the United States and executive vice president of the Ukrainian Education Council.
