Financial Contributions

Your financial contributions are very important to our mission. Your membership makes it possible for the Ukrainian Historical Society to continue its work as a premier cultural institution. Located outside Chicago, gives us a strategic advantage at being near, and working with some of the finest cultural and educational institutions in the country. Your financial support enables us to grow and employ new technologies to bring about improved communications to our members, provide operational support for our new and ongoing projects, and to educate the public about Ukraine and the many significant contributions made by noteworthty Ukrainians during the last 125 years.

The Ukrainian Historical Society (UHS) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible with legal limits, and acknowledged by the Society.

One of the easiest ways to make a donation is by mail.

If you work for a company with Matching Gift Funds, you can contact your Human Resources Department to arrange for a matching gift form. This program can significantly augment your contribution to the historical society at no additional cost to you!

Donating Cultural Artifacts

UHS actively collects artifacts for its archives. The UHS is interested in preserving the historical record that documents the Ukrainian experience in America, and throughout the Diaspora.

Among the materials we seek are woodcuts, handmade ceramics, glass art, architectural models, drawings, sculpture, professional tools and instruments, sketches, icons, early handmade clothing, embroidery, costumes, uniforms, early school supplies and educational materials, banners, flags, and all forms of ephemera.

We invite prospective donors to contact our curatorial staff, to discuss our policies and procedures for handling and shipping these cultural artifacts. Please e-mail your inquiries to archives@uhsoc.org

Donate Books

The library collects books, periodicals, and other publications in all languages. We accept donations of single books, as well as entire collections. For general information about donating books to the UHS Library, contact archives@uhsoc.org.
